China sees 14.4% increase in power generation

China's total installed power generation capacity reached 3.23 billion kilowatts by the end of November, marking a 14.4 percent increase from a year ago, data published by the National Energy Administration on Friday.
In breakdown, its installed capacity for solar power reached approximately 820 gigawatts, a 46.7 percent increase year-on-year. Wind power capacity totaled about 490 gigawatts, growing by 19.2 percent compared to the previous year.
Investment in power generation projects by major national enterprises amounted to 866.5 billion yuan ($118.72 billion), up 12.0 percent, while investment in grid projects reached 529.0 billion yuan, an increase of 18.7 percent, it said.
