Two trains loaded with "Made in Jiangxi" products recently departed as the first sea-rail intermodal freight services from there, leaving Nanchang Xiangtang International Dry Port.
It marked the official launch of the "Nanchang-Xiamen Ports Connectivity" sea-rail intermodal train service. After arriving at Xiamen Port, the two trains will board ships to continue their trip to Vietnam and Cambodia.
Both trains adopted the "Nanchang-Xiamen Ports Connectivity" clearance mode, enabling mutual recognition of customs manifests between Nanchang and Xiamen and thereby simplifying clearance procedures. This shift of coastal port functions to inland ports effectively enhances logistics efficiency, providing strong support for businesses to seize market opportunities.
Under this mode, businesses need only go through customs clearance procedures once at Nanchang International Land Port to enjoy the convenience of "one declaration, one inspection, one release" for a customs clearance. This ensures uninterrupted transportation throughout the journey, with goods being loaded onto ships on arrival at the port. The streamlined process is projected to significantly reduce overall logistics costs.
Jiangxi is one of the main sources of goods for Fujian's sea-rail intermodal transportation. The implementation of the new customs clearance mode will further smooth the logistics connectivity between Fujian and Jiangxi, and promote mutual development through complementary advantages.
