The exercise included a mobile interception, waterborne inspection, underwater salvage, water-based pursuit and land-based inspection. It aimed to comprehensively assess and develop the collaborative capabilities and operational effectiveness of the four countries' law enforcement departments in combating transnational crimes such as drug trafficking, human smuggling, fraud and kidnapping.

"Mekong River, this is 105! According to reports, an unidentified foreign cargo ship is suspected of transporting illegal migrants and is about to enter our patrol area." Following the simulated alert, the joint exercise command center issued a series of commands: "Current orders, 09, 10, 18 to conduct surveillance and interception on the target vessel, 05, 61 prepare for support."

Upon receiving the orders, the assault team swiftly conducted a sweeping investigation of the vessel in question and discovered six individuals on board damaging the ship, with one carrying suspicious items and attempting to flee by jumping into the river.
