A record-breaking drone show featuring 1,500 drones lit up the night sky over West Lake in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, on Dec 27.

Marking the largest drone display ever staged over West Lake, the show celebrated the 20th anniversary of the China-Italy comprehensive strategic partnership and the 5th anniversary of Hangzhou's sister-city ties with Verona, an Italian city renowned for its historic architecture and cultural heritage.

Using innovative technology, the drones crafted vivid patterns depicting the beauty of both cities and their intertwined cultural and romantic connections. 

The display highlighted Hangzhou's dedication to advancing international cultural exchanges and showcasing creativity through cutting-edge technology.
