Flight KR918 took off from Ningbo Lishe International Airport on Jan 1 at 1:30 pm, marking the launch of a new direct flight to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. This event was not only Ningbo airport's first international route for 2025 but Cambodia Airways' debut in Ningbo.
Ms Pang, a passenger on the flight, shared her excitement, "Previously, I had to take connecting flights to reach Cambodia, which was time-consuming and costly. Now, with the direct flight, travel has become much more convenient."
The new route operates three times a week, with a flight every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Flight KR918 departs Ningbo at 1:30 pm and arrives in Phnom Penh at 4:50 pm local time. The flight from Phnom Penh, KR917, leaves at 7:40 am and lands in Ningbo at 12:30 pm.
Phnom Penh, Cambodia's capital and largest city, is a crucial international aviation hub in Southeast Asia. With its unique history and rich tourism resources, it attracts global travelers. This new route will let Ningbo passengers travel more easily to Cambodia and other Southeast Asian destinations, while Cambodian travelers can now reach Ningbo with greater ease. This development is expected to boost business and tourism between the two regions.
Looking ahead, Ningbo airport aims to further expand its international market in order to foster regional economic and cultural ties and support the recovery and growth of Ningbo's international aviation.
