Registration for 2025 Shanghai Women's Half Marathon opens
The 2025 Shanghai Women's Half Marathon is scheduled to take place on March 9 in Changning district.
Registrations open on Jan 13 at 3 pm and they close at 3 pm on Jan 16.
The marathon will start at 7 am on March 9 with a total of 7,000 participants — 6,000 runners for the half marathon and 1,000 for a fitness run.
The half marathon will conclude at Gate 3 of Zhongshan Park on Wanhangdu Road, while the fitness run will finish at Shanghai Zoo on Hongqiao Road.
As usual, the racecourse will pass through various landmarks in Changning.
To register, participants can visit the official Shanghai Marathon website or download the app by searching "上馬" or "Shangma" in the app store.
A random draw will determine participant selection, with results announced on the afternoon of Jan 23. Those securing a spot must complete their payment by 3 pm on Jan 26, with a registration fee of 150 yuan ($20.46) for the half marathon and 80 yuan for the fitness run.
