He also said that Shanxi aims to achieve a clean energy installation ratio of over 50 percent, efficiently utilizing geothermal energy, new energy and clean energy.

Jin also mentioned that Shanxi has continued to promote the deep integration of culture and tourism, planning the "Follow Wukong to Travel in Shanxi" activity to attract visitors and keep the cultural tourism market booming.

Shanxi's tourism popularity has increased since the domestically produced game Black Myth: Wukong launched in August. The game features locations inspired by the province's grottoes, temples, ancient buildings, sculptures and murals.

Shanxi completed the country's largest tourism road network in October with a total length of 13,000 kilometers covering 5,630 villages to realize rural vitalization, accelerate transformation and development, and build an internationally renowned cultural tourism destination.

"The project can greatly enhance the integration function of three tourism routes along the three landmark attractions — the Yellow River, the Great Wall and the Taihang Mountains — connecting 531 cultural heritage sites and 976 scenic spots," he said.
