Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, the largest deluxe hotel group in the Asia-Pacific, is currently working with the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade (ICE) to organize successive Italian Food Festivals in the group's hotels in major cities like Beijing, Zhongshan, Dalian, Qingdao, Hangzhou and Changchun. The food festival will promote the traditional ways of making Italian delicacies.

The Beijing edition of the Italian Food Festival was launched earlier this year. Shangri-La Hotel, Changchun will be hosting the festival in that city from May 26 to June 5.

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts have also worked with the ICE on two previous occasions to organize similar events promoting Italian cuisine.

All the dishes in the food festival have been created and personally selected by Mario Musoni, owner of renowned Italian restaurant Al Pino, and the famous chef Alessandro Santi. The two chefs will delight food lovers with their exquisite culinary skills, revealed in the Italian style Mediterranean dishes and buffet at Shangri-La Hotel, Changchun.

Apart from whipping up the Italian flavor in its dishes, the hotel will also offer the famed Italian wine. The restaurant's decor will add to the Italian mood, integrating Italian culture and art and allowing the public to enjoy Italian music and experience the beauty of Venice. Lunch will cost 108 yuan, while dinner is pegged at 158 yuan, excluding 15 percent service tax.

The Hong Kong-based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, which has garnered prestigious awards worldwide, currently runs 50 hotels and resorts around the globe.
