HANOI - A Chinese group organized by the Ministry of Commerce concluded its visit to Vietnam on Thursday aimed at promoting trade ties between the two countries.

The group gathers more than 60 representatives from over 30 Chinese companies in fields of textile, pharmaceutical, agricultural products, petrochemical, commercial trading, among others.

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce and Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade on Wednesday morning jointly organized a signing ceremony of China-Vietnam trade cooperation projects.

The signing ceremony is part of the activities of the Chinese trade promotion group which started visiting Vietnam on Monday.

A total of 83 trade agreements were signed at the ceremony amounting to $1.942 billion.

At the signing ceremony, Zhi Luxun, deputy director of the Department of Foreign Trade of China's Ministry of Commerce, said that in recent years, economic and trade cooperation between China and Vietnam has maintained good momentum and achieved remarkable results.

China is ready to join hands with Vietnam in upholding the Silk Road spirit of peace and cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning and mutual benefit.

In his turn, Bui Huy Son, director of Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, noted that the trade promotion group has provided a practical method to promote economic and trade ties between two countries.

"Surely, it will promote win-win cooperation and strengthen Vietnam-China trade relations," said Son.
