Lotus brings pure driving to motorsport festival

Lotus China signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Beijing Motor Sports Association on Friday, on the sideline of the ongoing first British Motorsport Festival launched on the same day.

Chen Fei, CEO of Lotus China, announced the company is committed to strengthening cooperation with the association in motor sports, and promoting the sound and sustainable development of the industry in Beijing.

Lotus Exige S AT, launched in the Chinese market in July, Evora S, and Elise S, dominate the Golden Port circuit for four days during the five-day festival.

The British lightweight sports car brand’s activities highlight the active speed racers, including Zhu Daiwei who’s driving for BAIC team in the China Touring Car Championship leading the test drive fleet or offering test rides.

Chen said:"We are professional in sports, and the products are made for pure driving. Our professional sports cars demand these professional racers to join us, and offer the world-level experience.”

The company believes the Lotus sports cars are born for the racing track, and the pure driving passion still goes on. Lotus encourages everyone to join the race, especially those passionate about driving and in need of purity, and speed.

The first British Motorsport Festival held in the Golden Port Motor Park has car brands from the United Kingdom participating in the event, including Lotus, McLaren, Morgan, KTM, and Mini, and the five-day event will wrap up on Dec 1.

Ahead of the Beijing event where numerous drivers proved themselves, Lotus sports cars have conquered the Shenzhen and Foshan circuits in Guangdong province and Jiulongshan circuit in Zhejiang province.

In Shenzhen, Four Best Owners of Lotus Cars 2015 were announced; In Foshan, a racing driver demonstrated his shell-less Lotus Elise, publicly displaying the body structure for the first time in the country; on the straight-way in Jiulongshan, the cars ran close to their maximum speed.
