WeChat account to report uncivilized subway acts

chinadaily.com.cn | Updated: 2013-09-10 15:59

Police in Shanghai have opened an account on WeChat, a popular mobile messaging service, to allow residents to report uncivilized acts on the subway. These include parents who allow their children to urinate in subway carriages.

According to Wenhui Daily, residents can alert police by sending a message to the WeChat account, "metropolice110".

Police encouraged passengers to report the line number, direction of travel, carriage number, current and next stations and descriptions of those involved.

In recent weeks, two conflicts took place between parents allowing their children to urinate on the subway and passengers trying to stop them.
