Two migrant workers were invited to give a lecture at Wuhan Electric Power Technical College to assist the students in learning practical knowledge, Hubei Daily reported on Thursday.
Du Xiaobo, one of the workers, taught students the professional skills required for building a wall. Another worker named Pan Yunde told how he rose from an ordinary migrant worker to a foreman.
Students said the lectures allowed them to learn practical knowledge that was not taught by textbooks and it was helpful to their work in the future.
"Although we are college students, these workers are more professional than us," said a student.
Chen Ping, a teacher from the college, said the migrant workers were invited to cultivate and improve students' skills and the lecture was very useful for students in planning their careers and recognizing where they are in life.
