Two couples charged with forcing blind men to beg

A gang that allegedly organized disabled people begging for money has been charged by Haidian procuratorate, a prosecutor in charge said on Monday.

The gang consisted of two unemployed brothers from Henan province, 37-year-old Liu Shehui and 36-year-old Liu Huimin, and their wives Zhang Xinli and Wang Li, the prosecutor from Haidian procuratorate Shao Dan, told METRO on Monday.

The four beggars were all blind men from Henan in their 40s and 50s who could play the erhu, Shao said.
