With a vast transformation plan underway to streamline its organization, Veolia Environnement SA is "confident in our ability to succeed because of the professionalism and perseverance of our people", the French company's top executive said in a recently released annual report.

The report noted that the company generated 29.6 billion euros ($37.7 billion) in revenues last year, a 3.1 percent increase over 2010.
