Nicole Kidman is expected to walk the red carpet at the opening of the Shanghai International Film Festival, and fans are most eager to see her in person. Other luminaries that will shine alongside are Hugh Grant, Hayden Christensen, and three celebrities from South Korea, Rain, Song Seung Heon and Park Shin-Hye.
Grace of Monaco, starring Kidman, was the opening fi lm for the Cannes Film Festival in May. The Chinese premiere of the screen biography of Grace Kelly, princess of Monaco, will take place during the SIFF. This also marks the fi rst time Kidman visits Shanghai as an actress, rather than an image ambassador for commercial brands.
English actor Grant, on his first visit to Shanghai, will bring his latest work The Rewrite, and Christensen from Canada is the leading actor in Outcast, which also includes Chinese actors Liu Yifei and An Zhijie in the cast.
On the red carpet at the closing ceremony will be Natalie Portman, Kirsten Dunst and South Korean actress Son Tae-Young.
