Natalya Makarova's Swan Lake will be performed at the National Center for the Performing Arts of China this month as the opening presentation in the 2015 Meet in Beijing Arts Festival.

The Makarova version of the classic, to be performed by National Ballet of China, is the most popular in global ballet circles.

The National Ballet of China's version of Swan Lake has been performed at the Royal Opera House in London, Theatre du Chatelet in Paris and other renowned theaters around the world.

Isabella Boylston, principal of the ABT will cooperate with Ma Xiaodong, principal of the National Ballet of China on the show.

Born in Sun Valley, Idaho, Boylston began dancing at the age of three. Boylston joined the ABT Studio Company in 2005, the main Company as an apprentice in 2006 and the corps de ballet in 2007. She won the 2009 Princess Grace Award and was nominated for the 2010 Prix Benois de la Danse. In 2011 she received the Clive Barnes Award. She was the recipient of the 2014 Annenberg Fellowship and was promoted to soloist in June 2011 and to principal dancer in August last year.

With the aim of spreading Chinese traditional culture, introducing overseas arts and promoting cultural exchanges between China and the rest of the world, the Meet in Beijing Arts Festival has established itself as China's preeminent artistic activity.

The United States will be this year's featured country for the first time, making Chinese audiences feel more in tune with American style.

2015 Meet in Beijing Arts Festival will bring more than 150 performances from nearly 30 countries and regions including US, Latin America and Japan to Beijing stages between April 23rd to May 30th.
