More than 100 scholars, lovers of the Chinese classic Zhaungzi, and other guests gathered at the Zhuangzici at Anhui province's Mengcheng county on Sunday to commemorate the ancient Taoist philosopher Zhuangzi. With melodious ancient music, people offered incense to the statue of Zhuangzi, and performers presented ancient customs to pay respect to Zhuangzi, to pass forward Taoist culture and history.

Mengcheng county is the hometown of Zhuangzi, where the traditional ceremony to sacrifice Zhuangzi has existed since the Song Dynasty (960-1297). Whereas, the event suspended for many years and was restarted by the local folks since 2012, attracting a batch of experts and scholars.
