Trace of Existence, a contemporary art exhibition now running in Beijing, shows sculptures, paintings and videos that look at the multiple facets of contemporary art and its unstable boundary.

The exhibition gathers nine artists from different cultural backgrounds whose artworks explore new possibilities to create art, in the context of the encounter of globalization and local cultures.

Artists include Li Jinghu whose creation reflects his longtime residence in Dongguan, Guangdong province, which is China's leading manufacturing hub for electronics; Mateo Lopez from Colombia, who integrates his academic studies in architecture into filmmaking and drawing; and Koki Tanaka, a Los Angeles-based Japanese artist who works with video, photography and installation.

The exhibition is ongoing at the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art inside the 798 Art Zone and ends on March 13.
