French glass designer Rene Lalique (1860-1945) is recognized as one of France's leading jewelry designers of the art nouveau style, designing both functional and decorative innovative pieces.

Designs that inspired by Lalique's pursuit of creativity and quality are now on show at the Art Beijing fair at the National Agriculture Exhibition Center.

Limited edition vases and decorative objects have been selected by Lalique Art, a division of the Lalique company, which has grown from a shop Lalique opened in 1935 in Paris into a luxury brand house producing glass and crystal pieces.

Lalique Art was launched in 2011 to present new designs based on the company's collaborations with leading artists and architects, such as British artists Damien Hirst and Anish Kapoor.

Lalique Art has exhibited at the annual Art Beijing since 2015. The works shown this year include two series designed by Iraqi-born British architect Zaha Hadid, who died last year, and American artist Terry Rodgers.

The fair is on until Tuesday.
