Salsa on the Wall

Salsa dancing might be one of the last things you would expect to find while visiting the Great Wall, but thanks to an international group of salsa dance professionals, the dance form recently came to life at one of China's most popular landmarks.

The 5th China Salsa Congress, a festival that promotes Salsa dancing and music in China, was held in Beijing during the Golden Week holiday. On the last day of the festival, the founder of China Salsa Congress, Albert Torres along with a group of professional salsa dancers, gathered at the Great Wall to celebrate Salsa dancing.

It looks as though it's only a matter time before Salsa catches on across China the way it has in other countries, but rest assured, Albert Torres and his group will be here again next year, picking up right where they left off and spreading the beauty of Salsa one dance step at a time.
