A friendly basketball match co-hosted by China Daily and Qijiayuan Diplomatic Residence Compound was organized on April 28, 2015. This is the third time that the competition has been held and it attracted participation from readers of China Daily, clients and staff members of Qijiayuan DRC and basketball fans of The Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Congo.  Beijing Unicare Health Management Company supported this event.

The basketball match is part of China Daily's readers'club activities, which include a wide array of events such as coffee tasting, sports competitions, group tours, etc. The series of activities are aimed at strengthening the newspaper’s brand as a quality media company.
