Ten foreigners who have significant influence in their social media circles, spanning Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram, gathered in Beijing's Tianyang Valley on Dec 1 to experience traditional Chinese medicine.

At the event they experienced TCM massages, acupuncture, hot spring treatments and watched a tai chi performance.

The event was sponsored by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development and organized by China's biggest online travel agency Ctrip. It is part of a campaign to showcase TCM to foreign visitors.

Meanwhile, Ctrip has launched TCM tours on its website

Beijing has a lot of TCM tourism resources, and there are 35 sites to experience TCM in the capital as of now.
