Editor's Note:

With President Xi Jinping emphasizing building a strong confidence in Chinese culture, a number of cultural policies, laws and regulations aimed at promoting culture and cultural heritages have been issued since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in November 2012. These policies and regulations strongly back the development and promotion of traditional culture excellence and new cultural industries. Let's take a look at these policy supports from the government.

Circular on Some Policy Regulations to Support the Booming of China's TV Industry

On September 4, 2017, the Circular on Some Policy Regulations to Support the Booming of China's TV Industry was jointly issued by five ministries and commissions, including China's State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (SAPPRFT), National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Commerce, as well as the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.

The circular aims to build a positive environment for TV production and discuss core problems that needed to be solved urgently.
