A delegation from the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC), led by Deputy Customs Commissioner-General Sun Yibiao, visited Fuzhou, capital of Fujian province on Thursday to investigate its development.

Fuzhou hope to win endorsement from central authorities, including GACC, for the development of the Fuzhou New Area, establishment of an integrated bonded zone and expansion of port areas to boost the economy, said Yang Yue, Party chief of Fuzhou.

Fuzhou has a promising future, and is faced with decent opportunities for development. GACC will continue to support Fuzhou in customs clearance mechanism reforms and port construction to push the economy to the next level, said Sun.
