Editor's note: The Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone in Fujian province hosted the first Pingtan International Urban Sculpture Exhibition on Oct 11 and 12.

The expo features 48 spectacular sculptures out of more than 1,200 candidates from 61 countries and regions over the past 15 months.

The masterpieces are on display at a 6-hectare sculpture zone in Zhuyuhu Park in downtown Pingtan. The followings are some of the works.
