The new softball stadium is ready for upcoming matches in Pingtan county, Fujian province, ptnet.cn reported on July 27.

Workers were seen putting final touches on the painting of the stands, which are capable of holding about 5,000 people.

A large LED display has also been installed, which will provide a pleasurable view for the audience.

The main pitch is ready, and so are the rooms inside the stadium. Workers will wrap up installment of water and power utilities in next few days.

Pingtan is the host city for the softball matches of the first National Youth Games (NYG).

NYG will kick off in Fuzhou, capital of Fujian province, on Oct 18. It is the largest national sports meet Fujian has ever hosted.

Some testing events will be held in Pingtan in early August as preparation for NYG.
