Birds dance among Zhanjiang kapoks

Zhanjiang, a tropical maritime region in South China, recently had its first privilege to embrace this year's spring with melodious birdsong echoing in celebration of the blossoming kapok trees.

Kapok trees at the Zhanjiang Agricultural Reclamation Hospital bloomed with orange petals to attract flocks of various avian species including white-eyes, a small passerine bird species native to tropical and subtropical climates.

Chinese bulbuls also delighted in dancing among the vibrant foliage of the hospital singing their characteristic "cha-ko-lee" song.
