Tian’e tourist income in Golden Week rises

Tian’e county in Hechi, Guangxi, is rich in tourism resources with a beautiful ecological environment. Its forest coverage rate is as high as 84.05 percent, ranking top in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
According to incomplete statistics, Tian’e received 141,200 domestic and foreign visitors in the National Day golden week of this year, a year-on-year growth of 123 percent and achieved tourism income of 26.98 million yuan ($4.4 million), with a year-on-year growth of 116.5 percent.
In order to break through the traffic bottleneck, Tian’e county has invested 2.6 billion yuan in the construction of the Tian’e-Leye Secondary Road, four three-level asphalt roads leading to the villages and towns of the county and some key projects, such as Luotianle Bridge and Julong Bridge. It has also planned to invest over 90 million yuan in building some scenic spots and rural tourist spots. So far, Tian’e county has built Nawang Three-Star Rural Tourist Resorts, E’li Lake Gunagxi Agricultural Tourism Demonstration zone and Dengli Mountain Spring Park Pro-Poor Tourism Demonstration zone.
Tian’e county has also put more than 100 million yuan into local ecological environment protection, such as transferring farmland to forestry projects. The activity of “Plant More Trees, Plant Big Trees and Protect Ancient Trees” was launched vigorously across the county with more than 3,000 precious trees planted or transplanted. Currently, Tian’e county has built five hotels above the three-star level and more than 30 well-equipped inns, enhancing the county’s capacity for receiving tourists.
The tourist industry has become one of the pillar industries of Tian’e county, which received 964,200 domestic visitors and 4,200 foreign visitors in 2013, with an income from domestic tourists of 850 million yuan and foreign exchange income of $1.64 million, with all the indicators hitting a record high.
