The Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county in Hechi, Guangxi, held a female apparel presentation competition on March 8.

The activity was held to celebrate International Women's Day and promote Huanjiang's tourism industry.

As the first clothing display competition in Huanjiang, it attracted more than 300 women from 12 ethnic groups, including Maonan, Yao, Miao, Dong and Shui. The contestants presented their costumes during a fashion show featuring singing and dancing. More than 20,000 local residents and visitors attended the event.

A tourist from Jinchengjiang district highly praised the activity, "The event impressed me a lot. I never thought that Huanjiang had so many diverse folk customs. It made the trip worthwhile!"
