The Jinchengjiang Industrial Cluster (金城江工業(yè)集中區(qū)) was established in July 2009. It sits in Jinchengjiang's Wuxu town and has an overall planned area of 15.59 square kilometers. It's a new highland at the Guizhou-Guangxi economic belt and an important facility for new industries in Hechi. The cluster mainly engages in nonferrous metal, new building materials, nonmetallic minerals and forest products processing, environmentally-friendly chemical and machinery processing industries, as well as ecological resources and circular economy development.
The cluster has superior geographical position, convenient transportation and abundant resources. Its overall plan and environmental impact assessment has gained approval at the moment, with 5.05-square-kilometer area well planned out. Construction is going forward rapidly, with 236 million yuan ($35.7 million) in infrastructure investment, and water, electricity facilities and road have basically been finished. A total of ten enterprises have moved into the cluster, including the Hechi Wuji and the Hechi Mine Engineering, involving 241 million yuan in total investment and 989 million yuan in total output value. With Hechi Wuji's 30,000-ton-per-year antimony smelting technological upgrading project coming down the pike, the cluster is making great strides towards becoming a new nonferrous metal facility with sound functions, prominent industrial agglomeration effect, and strong influences.
