Hechi boosts grassroots medical projects construction

According to the Hechi health commission, Hechi has carried out a total of 347 primary-level medical and health care projects from 2015 to 2020, with a planned investment of 17.72 billion yuan ($2.62 billion).

In recent years, the Hechi health commission has strengthened supervision measures and improved supervision mechanisms from government departments, as well as the medical and health industry. It has promoted the standardized construction of health supervision mechanisms and improved the service capabilities of the city's medical institutions.

In addition, the health commission has comprehensively promoted medical and health reforms.

To date, the city has established 516 regional medical treatment consortiums integrating medical resources, 32 medical treatment associations consisting of level three and level two hospitals, 138 medical communities consisting of county-township level hospitals, 320 specialist alliances, as well as 26 telemedicine collaboration networks.

A total of 360 million yuan have been invested in the construction of a medical image cloud platform, which can provide digital CT images, enabling patients to access their electronic reports and image data online after examination, in the public medical institutions of 11 counties (districts) and 139 towns in Hechi, including township health centers, community health service centers, as well as maternity and child health centers.

At present, the pilot work of the platform has been completed in the First People's Hospital of Hechi. The construction of the platform in Hechi People's Hospital, Hechi Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, Hechi Maternity and Child Health Hospital, as well as Hechi Third People's Hospital are in full implementation mode and is expected to be completed in the first half of 2021.

Hechi is located in the northwestern part of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and the southern foothills of the Yungui Plateau.
