Hechi's Bama Yao autonomous county is aiming for a total investment of 2.05 billion yuan ($318 million) in 2021, Hechi Daily reported on May 20.

Of this total, an intended investment of 1.36 billion yuan will come from State-owned enterprises, private companies, and companies from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, thanks to Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region's investment promotion policies.

In the first quarter of 2021, Bama has seen an overall capital investment of 620 million yuan put in place, 30 percent of its target, including 185 million yuan from State-owned enterprises, private companies, and Greater Bay Area companies.

Using its resource advantages and the honorable title of "longevity city" that has been bestowed upon it, Bama has taken various measures to attract investment in recent years. It has cooperated with Shenzhen Dapeng New District in Guangdong province since 2016, attracting a number of enterprises and projects such as Country Garden Group and Huawei to settle in Bama.

Measures have also been taken by Bama to further optimize its business environment. These include setting up three platforms - concierge service, complaints and business service - and providing preferential policies to attract investment.

During the past five years, a total of 86 enterprises have been served by the agency service platform, and 306 projects have been completed, with a completion rate of 100 percent.

Hechi is located in the northwestern part of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and the southern foothills of the Yungui Plateau.
