Christmas is a time for giving, and the Kempinski Hotel Guiyang has taken the opportunity to give back to left-behind children in rural China.

To celebrate Christmas, the Kempinski Hotel Guiyang baked the longest stollen on Saturday in the city. Stollen is a traditional German Christmas fruitcake covered with sugar, powdered sugar or icing. The delicacy has been a holiday tradition since 1650.

The Kempinski Hotel Guiyang's chefs baked the 88-meter stolen and sold it by the slice for 10 yuan ($1.65) at Hunter City Mall of Guiyang, raising nearly 20,378 yuan for the left-behind children Centre of Guiyang Charity Association.

The Kempinski Hotel Guiyang team invited guests to share in the European tradition to help support charity. Kempinski Hotel Guiyang also plans to help other less fortunate groups through its social responsibility activities.
