The Cross-Strait E-Commerce Conference in 2014 is expected to kick off in the Huaqiao International Service Business Park in the middle of August, after the administration committee of Huaqiao Economic Development Zone’s completed negotiations with the related authorities in the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Internet Society of China.
The cross-Strait exchange is becoming more and more frequent, especially after the signings of the Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement and Cross-Strait Service Trade Agreement, through which a promotion platform for communications and cooperation between the cross-Strait e-commerce businesses was established. The Cross-Strait E-commerce Conference has been held for the past five successive years, with venues alternating between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan, and Huaqiao International Service Business Park is working hard to become this year’s venue.
