Li Yang explains that she signed the two-year contract as a village official to try to help the local people, but then decided not to renew it after it expired two years ago and she was offered a sales manager position at the food processing factory and began giving them new ideas about marketing and sales about how to make food products available online.

Her online marketing strategy brought the factory greater profits with its sales volume hitting 30 million yuan in 2015, allowing the factory to come up with new products, and 50 new farmer employees.
When asked about her phenomenal success, the 27-year-old Li says, "I believe that young people should find their own strengths through various jobs but I couldn’t balance being both a public servant and sales manager."

She concludes by saying that she has come up with more marketing ideas to make the local farmer richer and, "The factory will be part of a sightseeing and agricultural tour project next."
