POWERCHINA was one of the first Chinese enterprises to engage in investment overseas and its Kamchay Hydropower Station, in Cambodia, and Nam Ngum 5 Hydropower Station, in Laos, have been completed, while a cascade hydropower station-5 in Laos and the Upper Marsyangdi Hydropower Station, in Nepal, are in the development stage. POWERCHINA also has mineral resource projects in Congo and Mozambique.
