A recommendation activity of Qingdao West Coast New Area was held at the international conference centre of BFA (Boao Forum for Asia) on April 10.

This is the third consecutive year when Qingdao West Coast New Area has held such an activity during the annual meeting of BFA. The activity attracted the attention of leaders of relevant regions and executives of multinational enterprises. Many renowned domestic and foreign enterprises and numerous media reporters were also invited to participate in the activity.

Qingdao West Coast New Area is the ninth state-level new district approved by the State Council, and it is the only national-level new district which takes "the development of marine economy" as its task.

In 2017, the total value of marine economic production in the West Coast New Area of Qingdao exceeded 100 billion yuan (about $16 billion) accounting for 32?percent?of the total GDP in the whole area, up from 21.8 percent?in 2014.

The West Coast New Area of Qingdao is the only state-level new area that has been entrusted with the mission of building a civil-military integration demonstration area.

Taking full advantage of its strategic homeport position, Qingdao West Coast New District has planned Guzhenkou Military and Civil Integration Innovation Demonstration Zone with a land area of 180 square kilometers and a sea area of 650 square kilometers and has taken the lead in exploring the new model of deeper civil-military integration in China.

Adhering to the high-quality development and constantly improving the quality of the supply system, the West Coast New Area of Qingdao is building the leading area of new and old kinetic energy conversion.

In this recommendation activity, Li Fengli, director of Administrative Committee of Qingdao West Coast New area introduced that, as early as May 2017, this area began to take the lead in the implementation of the ten major projects of the new and old kinetic energy conversion and was ready to create a new engine for development.

During the activity, Li presented a comprehensive introduction about the economic and social development and the situation of commercial environment in Qingdao West Coast New Area to some forum participants and domestic and foreign media; and he sincerely invited the participating enterprises to visit the new area to investigate the investment environment.
