An exhibition of more than 100 antiques dating back to the 16th-19th centuries was opened in the Shandong Museum, in Jinan City, Shandong province, on Dec 1. The exhibition will last until Mar 1, 2016.

The antiques, including astronomical instruments, life appliances and military equipment, are technology products collected by three Chinese emperors, Kangxi (1661-1722), Yongzheng (1723-1735) and Qianlong (1736-1799).

The three emperors, whose reigns mark the most prosperous part of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), introduced such advanced technology products through Sino-Western cultural exchanges.

Sponsors of the exhibition were the Palace Museum, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and the Shandong Cultural Relics Bureau.
