Shandong Day event opens at Beijing horticultural expo
The "Shandong Day" event kicked off on June 20 at the ongoing International Horticultural Exhibition in Beijing, showcasing the picturesque landscapes and abundant cultural resources of East China's Shandong province.
The three-day event, themed under "Building dreams in the new era, displaying a beautiful and new Shandong," is designed to present the province's natural environment, traditional culture, arts, and horticultural achievements through a series of activities.
The Shandong Garden, which covers an area of 3,000 square meters, is designed using elements of the majestic Mount Tai, traditional Shandong culture, and classical Chinese gardens, all presenting the unique style of Shandong province.
Traditional handicrafts such as Shandong embroidery, Yantai paper-cuts, and egg carvings are also displayed in the garden.
The Beijing horticultural expo, themed "Live Green, Live Better," is the world's largest expo of its kind and opened to the public on April 29 in Yanqing district. It will last until Oct 7.
