Taishan jade carvings are currently on display at the ongoing China International Import Expo in Shanghai. They are one of Shandong's most well-known time-honored brands and intangible cultural heritage items.

Taishan jade, or Mount Tai jade, is one of the "four treasures" of Tai'an, Shandong province, with Mount Tai tea, Mount Tai hemp, and Feicheng (a county-level city of Tai'an) mahogany being the others.

Found on the majestic Mount Tai, Taishan jade is usually black, blackish green, or light green in color, and is more rigid than other types of jade.

With a history of more than 6,000 years, the jade has long been associated with safeness, good luck, and warding off evil spirits.
