Jinan, capital of eastern Shandong province, plans to establish five cultural stations, one in Jinan and the other four in Paris, Berlin, Milan, Barcelona, in order to promote international cultural exchange and cooperation.

The signing ceremony for the five cultural stations was held on March 20 via video conference. The conference had eight sub-venues in British, Germany, France, Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Spain, and Hungary, and one main venue in Jinan.

The cultural stations will promote international cultural exchange, cultural tourism cooperation, and cultural creative products, as well as attract talent and investment.

Through the use of cross-border e-commerce platforms and cloud service platforms, the cultural stations also can expand online international cooperation.

With the aid of the stations, more foreign cultural and tourism companies will set up operations in the Jinan Area of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone.

The area will also set up a domestic incubation base for international cultural and economic projects to promote cultural exchange in northern China and introduce international cultural creativity, design and trade talent to Jinan.
