Coal-rich Shanxi aims to eliminate all coal check stations by the end of 2014. The reform is expected to save the cost of more than 13 billion yuan ($2.1 billion).
The latest statistics from Taiyuan customs showed that the import-export value of Shanxi province reached 79.38 billion yuan ($12.97 billion) in the first 10 months of 2014.
As statistics from the Shanxi provincial government's official website showed, Shanxi had 27 registered package export enterprises and a total of 200,000 mu (13,333 hectares) of registered export fruit plants, as of the end of October.
Shanxi achieved total tourism revenue of 213.72 billion yuan ($34.97 billion) in the first nine months of this year, an increase of 25.96 percent compared to the same period last year.
Shanxi's investment for the strategic emerging industries accounted to 49.7 percent of the province’s total investments in the fixed assets in the first three quarters.
Shanxi province’s first Intellectual Property Services Alliance was established recently, according to the intellectual property office of the Shanxi Science and Technology Department.
