The northern Chinese coal-rich province of Shanxi has reduced 45.9 million metric tons of coal production capacity, after the closure of 52 mines in the past two years.
Pieces of ice drifted down the Longmen section of the Yellow River at the intersection of Hejin county in Shanxi province and Hancheng county in Shaanxi province, Dec 7.
On Dec 2, Datong was included on a list of 2017 landscape cities by China Ecological Civilization Research and Promotion Association –– the only city in Shanxi that won the honor.
