Shanxi University builds new campus

The Shanxi Development and Reform Commission recently approved the building of a new Shanxi University campus, releasing details on the first stage of the project to the public on May 8.
The new Dongshan campus in Taiyuan’s Xiaodian district will cover a planned area of 96 hectares. The first stage of the construction, costing 200 million yuan ($28.96 million), will consist primarily of a teaching and laboratory building.
The two structures will each have five stories and a steel-frame construction, with a total combined floor area of 55,591 square meters.
