Directors of Fumin county in Kunming, Yunnan province, came to the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone on Sept 11 to discuss cooperation in the construction of new industrial parks. Directors of the administrative committee, economic development bureau, and development strategy research institute in the Zone participated in the discussion.

Directors of Fumin’s government outlined the planned land use of the soon-to-be-built industrial parks there. They said that Fumin has resources and environmental advantages, which make the county suitable for development of medical, new energy, environment protection, and modern agricultural industries. They also said they hoped that the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone could lend its support in R&D, management, skills introduction, industry cultivation and investment promotion.

After learning about the preparatory construction works, Wang Minzheng, director of the administrative committee of the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone, gave some advice on mutual cooperation. He said, the Zone was responsible for supporting and driving the surrounding areas to develop their economies and Kunming Hi-Tech Zone was pleased to cooperate with Fumin, especially in its modern services industries.

Su Yu, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone, suggested that both sides should strengthen their communications to put their planned cooperation for the construction of new industrial parks in Fumin into practice.
