At the moment, China is only the fourth largest source country for tourists visiting America. It has been predicted that China will become the number one source country for tourists visiting America in 2021. China is one of the most popular countries in the world, and Chinese tourists are considered the biggest spenders in the world, with an average of consumption of $6000 per capita. More Chinese tourists will benefit the American economy significantly.

The U.S. and China have many issues and concerns that need to be discussed and solved with great respect for each other's core interests. Among these issues and concerns, the foremost is China's territorial integrity issue. U.S. politicians and government officials have been criticizing China's efforts to defend its traditional territorial claims in the South China Sea. The U.S. must recognize that China as one of the most important powers in world politics will not allow anyone to challenge its traditional territorial integrity any more. In order to improve its relationship with China, the U.S. must respect China's territorial integrity as one of China's core interests, and stop messing with China's territorial integrity in the South China Sea.

Our world is faced with many challenges, like climate change, peace and development in the third world and the current refugee crisis in the Middle East. The cooperation between the U.S. and China as important members of the world community will be critically important in dealing with these challenges.

The potential benefit for cooperation between the U.S. and China is great, and the potential damage for noncooperation is unthinkable, not only for the United States and China, but for the whole world as well. President Xi's visit to the U.S. will be an important opportunity for both sides to discuss positive ways that the two countries can cooperate with one another to promote world peace and to deal with the challenges the world faces now. In a way, the whole world is watching with great expectations about President Xi's visit to the U.S. and hope that the improvement of the Sino-U.S. relationship will bring benefits to the whole world.
