Should parents thwart teen romance?

So-called 'puppy love' is where people learn social skills like how to deal with their emotions and rejection. If teenagers are not allowed to learn how to manage their emotions at this age the result is social immaturity at a later age.

In universities in China I have encountered many students with the emotional maturity of 12-year-olds who are unable to handle the basic disappointments that life throws at people.
