Ancient temple opens to public after renovation
People visit Chenghuang Temple, or Town's God Temple, in Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong province on Oct 30, the first day it was open to the public, for free, after a one-year renovation. The temple, built in 1370, was a landmark in Guangzhou in the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. The renovation cost nearly 20 million yuan ($3 million). [Photo/Xinhua]
