Despite winning praise from his colleagues and supervisor for strutting through the office dressed as a superhero, the company’s security guard ordered the 25-year-old to lay down his outfit at first.

Wang became an immediate Internet sensation after the image was posted on China's twitter-like micro blogging service weibo.com. The costume, made of high density foam, wires and tubes in just three months, weighs 50 kilograms and cost 3,000 yuan ($460).
