A fire rages in a building at a vegetable market in Beijing's Xicheng district on Monday. No casualties were reported. The fire started at about 5:15 pm and caused damage to an area of more than 1,000 square meters. More than 250 firefighters were mobilized to extinguish the blaze. The incident left cracks on windows of a residential building close to the market, cutting off its power and water supply. Residents were forced to evacuate. [Photo/CFP] |
